I heard today that when Neil Gaiman won his Hugo award for American Gods, his acceptance speech began with the words "Fuck! I won a Hugo!" (Because he was not expecting to win and did not prepare a speech, and spent the rest of his time on stage fucking about how he got a Hugo. *squee*) Which was ironic in a lot of ways.
